Say you were up at Donnington for the weekend on the third week of June, and say you wanted to help yourself to some proper thrills. It would have been a classic case of “right time right place” really, as our friends Pia and Tony (yes, you know them by now, as we have mentioned their name in awe quite a few times around these pages) pulled it off again and managed to showcase once again the gentleman-racer spirit of the drum-brake series in quite a fashion. While both of them found themselves without a proper set of wheels to bring to the grid – mechanicals are an integral part of vintage racing too – the friends who did manage to attend did not disapoint, with some classy metal offering a wealth of Suixtilmoments – at life speed!
Best of all? Our other friends from MCM plied their magic once again and brought back some moments that were second to none, starting with that opening shot we use for the cover to this gallery and that we’re thinking makes for a great life motto – but what do you think?
