Those of you who know us will also know that we have more than a soft spot for Belgium — don’t ask why… So you can imagine our delight when P. Stubbe, our friend from that fine land, sent us the spoils of his latest wanderings. He’s very much a “where there’s a wheel, there’s a way” kind of gentleman — and if you’re reading this, you surely know the type.
This time, he had just returned from Brussels, where he visited the latest exhibition, a celebration of the MB anniversary, at the Autoworld Museum.
A small word of caution: Autoworld is an utterly endearing place — we even stumbled upon our very own Suixtil moment there during one of our visits — but by the time you read this, the exhibition itself will likely have closed, its final day being the 22nd of February.
Another word of warning: the scale of the exhibition was nothing short of breathtaking. The Stuttgart institution had opened its treasure chest and entrusted its smaller sibling with all manner of extraordinary pieces. Even better, the venue — despite its space constraints — truly rose to the occasion, presenting everything in the best possible light. The result was spectacular.
We’ll let you wander through the (virtual) gallery and make up your own minds. Ours, as you might guess, is already made — at life speed.
A star is born (and celebrated)!
