And the answer is certainly a resounding “no” – you have to give it to our friend Marcus, who has been perfecting the formula for the past (close to) 20 years: he has it down pat! From rare cars (that ancester of streamlining alone, not to mention the 917 et al…) to celebrities to surprising locations, the Grand Meeting, next to Dusseldord (in Rittergut Birkhof if you need specifics) Germany, has it all. And Marcus has pulled it together through tick and thin, demonstrating a true grit that we can only command him for. Lesser people would have caved in and yielded long ago, but not Marcus who carries the Classic Days torch as an hommage. We salute you Marcus!
And to showcase what we mean, we were very fortunate that Günter, a talented photographer as well as our friend (and German Ambassador, we’d have you know), was there to capture the very essence (funny that – about petrol cars) of the event and we believe the glorious series of photos attached will well-demonstrate what we tried to explain above.
Also, Alex, from Suixtil Benelux, had also made the trip with his D-Type and the Suixtil colors were therefore flying high, or, as we rather like to say – at life speed!
