Goodwood Revival 2026 – another one for the books

You have no idea, do you? How hard it is to tell you a story when we know there are 100s of photos from our friend Günter right underneath and you can see them, and each of them is a 1000 words. So we’re litterally competing with millions of words, all of them more colorful and masterfully put together by a craftsman who relishes his art and the idea of sharing it.

Oh, forget it – we won’t even try and will, rather, just give you a quick run down of what happened so that you dive in this with prepared, ready for the odyssey that was that edition of the Revival.

We mean, come on, it is not even reasonable for the Duke and his team to organize such Gargantuan love fest of all things motorized and vintage without the slightest health warning, a quick “be still, my beating heart” or anything of the kind. Especially given the range of emotions the show was bound to trigger, can you honestly expect not to have overwhelming reactions when you put together:

  • An hommage to Emmo Fittipaldi – present and brightening the whole event with his inextinguishable smile.
  • A Brabham tribute, family members included, that comprised cars that Black Jack, triple world-champion, would have loved seeing again,
  • a celebration of the Vespa anniversay, with acrobatics and all,
  • A rendition of the Le Mans 66 famed finish, GT40s included,
  • a Targa-Florio paddock that includes all the best looking cars from the period, and we mean all of them,
  • a celebration of the Vespa anniversay, with acrobatics and all,
  • Stars from the racing world and more, so much more…

And all of the above in addition to your “regular Revival fare” (the very definition of an oxymoron, right there) – that’s really not even fair… We have tried to help, by including a few of the many Suixtil moments you could have also captured if you had attended – a warm up of sorts, but you don’t have to thank us either. Anyways, go right ahead and dive in that gallery – just don’t come back to complain that it left you breathless and remorseful at having squandered a whole moring of your office duties while you were licking your screen. We might as well tell you now: you will not be getting any sympathy from us (because we have been there – still are, if truth be told) – at life speed!
