An amazing color image from the BARC Boys (who’d deserve a book of their own) of Masten Gregory (the Kansas City Flash) at the wheel of his CAMORADI Maserati Birdcage for the’61 edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring, because it was indeed how they raced (and Suixtil is, of course, there as well). On […]

A stunning shot of yet another great champion, Jean Behra, in Suixtil, gets in the cockpit of his Maserati 250F ahead of the British and European GP of 1957. Caught and immortalized by the incredibly talented John Ross. On the technical front, the image has the following characteristics: – 60*60cm (about 24′ square) – Hahnemuhle […]

Another amazing color ahot from the BARC Boys (who’d deserve a book of their own) this one of Jo Bonnier, Dan (the Man) Gurney and Bruce McLaren casually chatting while Jo rests on his Porsche 718 ahead of the 61 edition of the US GP at Watkins Glen (did you also spot the Suixtil Rally […]

Part of a series we were fortunate to acquire from M. Dessales, that shot, taken in Buenos Aires is also one of the last “Suixtil Moments” we have found. And what a moment, as Fangio‘s son attempt to launch his career in GP racing at the wheel of a splendid Brabham sporting your colors…. On […]

A stunning shot of another great champion, Harry Schell, as usual in Suixtil, who led such a full life that it would be hard to summarize it. Caught here by the incredibly talented John Ross, that picture grabs the hero while he is not paying attention, lost in thoughts in the pits between two bouts […]

On […]

Another incredible moment captured in this action shot! JM Fangio, in his last F1 season (when he would win his 5th world championship title) at the wheel of his Maserati 250F during the French Grand Prix in Rouen. The battle has already been fierce – as attested by the bloody nose of the car – […]

An incredible color image of El Maestro himself, at speed at the wheel of the unique W196 during the ’54 Spanish GP. One cannot help but notice the poignant and fascinating details – the oil-stained polo shirt, the resin, cork and leather Rivadavia helmet and, in the background and just a blur, an audience enthralled […]

Amazing photo from Graham Gauld (used here with the kind permission and under the © of the Grand Prix Library),  of American racer Harry Schell (just a week after his accident at the Tour Auto with a Ferrari 250GT) conferring comfortably with Jean Behra and Ron Flockhart ahead of the’57 edition of the Modena GP […]

Stunning image from (and with the very kind permission and under the © of Grand Prix Photo),  of American racer Harry Schell comfortably tucked in the cockpit of his Maserati 250F ahead of the 1957 edition of the Italian GP in Pescara. Harry, sporting his blue and white Florio sweater, looks quite confident – almost […]

Beautiful image from (and with the very kind permission and under the © of Grand Prix Photo), this scene captures to perfection the spirit of the GP races of the ’50s. Shot during ‘57 edition of the French GP in Rouen, the picture immortalizes in vivid colors a conversation between Juan-Manuel Fangio (vying for his […]

An amazing picture shot at the Nürburgring (the Green Hell) in 1963 and parts of the Motorsportsfriends.ch archives, it gives, in vivid colors, an incredible feel for the atmosphere in the paddock – around a Ferrari 250 GTO. And in the midst of it all, Tommy Hitchcock in Suixtil strolls in nonchalantly…. On the technical […]
