Since 2007, Suixtil has been faithfully recreating iconic clothing from the apex of motor racing history. Born in 1930s Argentina, worn by Fangio and the legends of the golden age, tailored today for those who appreciate heritage and craftsmanship.
Harking back to the earliest days of the races with which your brand was involved, the South-American Epic helmet is carefully handcrafted in Argentina and bears testament to those incredible battles lasting not mere hours or days, but weeks at a time and that were fought over the highest mountain passes and the driest pampas by some of the greatest Suixtil heroes in their incredible machines. Proudly sporting the Shield (for protection, good luck and everything in between) it is also adorned with some ventilation holes along its sides, just like the original beasts that carried the heroes. Its also done in the original color scheme of those great cars and is delivered with a removable, leather-lined short visor that further heightens the contrast with the helmet color.
The helmet shell is built from a base molded from resin and fibers while its inside is lined with natural cork of 3 mm (0.11 in) thickness. All straps are crafted from the finest real full-grain cow leather while the padding and covers are also stitched from 100% full-grain leather. It should be noted that, in keeping with the original, the fixed visor of this model is shorter than usual and therefore NOT suitable to affix the Guard visor. We recommend, instead the use of our BelleVue goggles, or, alternatively, our BelleVue 50s, also perfectly adjusted to the model and of the utmost comfort.
This beautiful piece is sure to attract a lot of attention with its gorgeous patina and is crafted to the highest standard. It arrives nicely packed in a linen bag that you can use whenever taking the helmet to a track day or an event.
The South-American Epic comes in 3 sizes (thanks to an easy to install foam adjustment ring) that accommodates head sizes from 56 to 64 cm (22 to 25.5′) and is delivered by courier within 7 days of its order.
