Dave and Nazdar are back – at Sonoma!
In the incredible series, please take note that we do not define ourselves as “for the brave” by chance – it’s a Suixtil trait of character. Exhibit 1: take Dave, our US Ambassador for many moons now (and also, shall we mention it again, a BARC Boy of the first hour): 82 years young and excited as can be to get his backside back in Nazdar‘s (his 2002 that he has known since the ’70s, that’s the 1970s, not his – the name is an entire story onto itself) bucket at Sonoma for another run. That’s what we’re talking about. Some would dread the youngsters’ competition, especially given the excesses to which some go to wring out weight from their vehicles, or increase their engines’ compression. But Dave doesn’t – see, he’s here to race, with Rosemary at his side (well, not literally but you know what we mean) and keeping an eye on him, as he has done since time immemorial and will continue well after we’ve all forgotten everything about that dark art, if that’s possible at all.
Meanwhile, Dave went on to sport the colors with great honor the whole weekend and we’re more than a little chuffed that he still shows us all how it’s best done – at life speed!
