So it was that the Labor Day at Lime Rock was a double (and some) feature this year:
Mariano, our Suixtil USA distributor, was there with a superb and properly appointed stand. He also, these things cannot be helped, brought a race car (see the opening photo) along, because, you know. He had a great weekend and, being new to the LR experience, got to take it all in strides, the racing, the Sunday Concours and all. He was thrilled by the weekend and can’t wait to come back for some more – funny that!

If you have a single horse power to count on you better saddle-up
And at the same time, would you believe it, Dave, our US Ambassador and BARCing-mad friend, was fighting the odd with Nazdar, his 2002 that he initially raced in the early ’70s and to which he is now getting reacquainted. Get this – he blew a CV joint on an axle during the first race and then – that’s racing for you – worked like crazy to find a replacement, fit it and tightened it in kitchen wrap to hold in the grease before going back on the field and winning two races – how’s that for racing, how’s that for the Suixtil spirit?
broken constant velocity joint and chewed up axle – things are looking grim for Nazdar
2002 hard at work
ultimate driving machine indeed
Drive Sober

Ms Rose & Dave celebrate
The most incredible part? While the two have so much in common, Dave and Mariano didn’t even manage to meet over the course of that weekend – isn’t that insane. The good news is that there will be another occasion – at life speed!
