Hard racing and great fun at VIR
It could be wondered why we would make space for photos of Dave, our friend and US Ambassador, having a good time racing Nazdar (his trusted, but at times capricious, 2002) at VIR, all of 80 years young, hooking up with an old friend and jumping in his ride for a stint at an Enduro race or getting together with Kevin who’s also getting familiar with the whole racing discipline at Vivian‘s wheel who’s so immaculate that the eyes hurt and surely has a set-up modeled upon another MGA (here’s looking at you, Honey Bee) – down to the lap-shaving racing colors (for those of you who might be superstitious, for those others, you probably already have the decals already strategically placed on your own beauty)- that’s taken Dave to many SVRA crowns already. Well, if you are having any of these qualms, the possibilities are that:
a) you need to revise a little bit your Suixtil history – Lord knows Dave has graced (that might not be the best choice of word) these pages often already,
b) you are completely new here and the following photos will offer you a good idea of what’s in store here, or
c) you are completely lost, in which case there is not much we can do for you, except – maybe – have you entertained with some vintage car racing stories and photos (thanks, again, to Dave, Rosemary and Bill Stoler) you’ll likely have a hard time finding anywhere else, that – right there – is quite the boast, but we’ll stand by it.
Whichever it is, we wish you Godspeed and trust you’ll let us know your thoughts – at life speed!
